Council Donates Freezer to OLG

The Knights of Our Lady of Grace donated a much needed new freezer to the parish in October 2009. The new freezer is a 18 cubit ft Frigidaire that is located in the stock room right behind the kitchen. The freezer replaces two much older freezers and should provide significant savings on the church utility bills. A plaque was place on the freezer by Dominic Arbitrio at the February council meeting to commemorate the gift. The gift represents a substantial portion of our small council's budget. Special thanks to Jim Larkin for finding the best deal available and making the purchase happen.

Council joins in Knights Campaign to
Keep Christ in Christmas

Council 6862 members from Our Lady of Grace Church have launched a Keep Christ in Christmas Campaign.  The above sign is posted in front of our Church in Ballston Lake, NY. This is part of an effort to counter a cultural trend where references to Christ and the true meaning of Christmas are minimized.  Increasingly, people are bashful about wishing folks a "Merry Christmas" in favor of "Happy Holiday."

You may be invited to a Holiday Party where there is a Holiday Tree and you give each other Holiday presents.  Do us a favor and wish those folks a Merry Christmas and invite them to Church this Advent season.

Council Member Donates Mixer to OLG

The Our Lady of Grace parish has a new, professional series, Kitchen Aid mixer courtesy of Robert Gering - from our council. Robert is an active member of the council and always looking for ways to help out the church and others in need.

Robert - thanks for the example you set for your brothers in the council.

Scout Recognition

Did you ever noticed the help we receive when we run our pancake breakfasts? You can be sure and find Boy Scout Troop 54 serving food and cleaning tables. On June 8th during the troop court of honor ceremony - our Grand Knight presented Troop Leader Bob Sammons with a certificate and a gift from the Council. Pictured below is Bob, GK Symes and Eagle scout Samuel Zadrozny.
